• The Animation Career Review Scholarship returns for 2026, following another year of strong industry demand for animation talent.
• Up to $145,000 CAD in partial scholarships will be awarded.
• Scholarships are for VFS’s award-winning 3D Animation & Visual Effects, Classical Animation, and Animation Concept Art programs.
• Applications open July 31, 2026.


Vancouver Film School (VFS) and Animation Career Review (ACR) are once again joining forces to help aspiring artists launch careers in 3D animation, concept art, classical animation, and visual effects through the return of the Animation Career Review Scholarship.

Following a successful launch in 2025, the Animation Career Review Scholarship returns with up to $145,000 in tuition funding available to talented creatives from around the world who want to train hands-on in VFS's Production Centre in Vancouver, Canada.

VFS has been ranked by Animation Career Review as the best animation school in Canada and internationally for seven consecutive years. Students train using professional production pipelines in industry-standard facilities, including a 64,000-cubic-foot motion capture volume and a 280-degree green screen studio. They also collaborate across multiple VFS programs and learn from experienced faculty and industry mentors working across film, television, and games. VFS is also a SideFX Certified School, ensuring students learn one of the industry's most in-demand production tools.

The following will be awarded:
• Two $15,000 scholarships
• Five $10,000 scholarships
• Seven $5,000 scholarships
• Multiple additional awards from a funding pool of up to $30,000

Winners can apply the scholarship toward any of VFS’s one-year School of Animation & Visual Effects programs:
• 3D Animation & Visual Effects
• Animation Concept Art
• Classical Animation

Applications open on July 31, 2026, close on August 27, 2026, and recipients will be announced on September 10, 2026.
